It could be argued that Sandra played it safe here but a classic is a classic and this dress is stunning in its simplicity and fine detail.

Lady Gaga shocked us all at the Oscars in this traditional Versace gown complete with sleek and simple swept back hair and makeup. This old Hollywood glamour look seems to be a match made in heaven for the pop star which goes to show how much toning things down can really enhance your features.

What's not to love about this phenomenal dress by Versace. The simple detailing of the halter-neck coupled with the delicate cinching at the waist has Jada Pinkett-Smith looking like an absolute goddess!

Versace have done it again. This gown is simply fabulous in the way that it accentuates the figure and draws all eyes to the plunging neck-line yet still remains demure. Kate Hudson is the epitome of effortless style in this number.

A winner at the ceremony and a winner in the style stakes. Lupita Nyong'o had it all last Sunday in this romantic sky blue gown by Prada. We've been crushing on this number all week with its plunging neckline and voluminous skirt trailing around her elegantly.
