My name is Ewen and I’m one of the society’s Station Managers for the academic year 2013-14 and what a rollercoaster this Summer has been. We’ve been hard at work pushing the Students’ Union for funding and workspace and we’re finally pulling through, with our fingers still firmly crossed for a September launch just before all the new students hit us for Freshers Week. If you’re an undergraduate starting in at SHU next month (or in fact you’re a returning, current, or postgraduate student) myself and my fellow Station Managers Olivia and Graham will have a stand at the Freshers Fair so you can come along, introduce yourself and get involved in SHUradio!

There’s a massive variety of roles available for all students across all courses so don’t be put off if you’re studying a course completely unrelated to media or arts – if you’re interested in Radio in any shape or form, whether it’s in front of the microphone or as far away from it as possible, there’s a role for you with our society – so don’t miss this opportunity.
