The Brits: Best and Worst dressed

Words by: Karishma Ravalia

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll know it was The Brit Awards on Wednesday, and with award ceremonies come the best and worst dressed. So here’s SHUlife’s lowdown on the looks.

 The Best

Beyoncé – She definitely was the queen of dresses wearing an emerald green sparkly number. Showing off her figure perfectly, the Untitledhigh neck and full length teamed with the transparent arms showed just the right amount of skin. Her simple hair and makeup let the dress do all the talking. We were green with envy with this look!

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley – Sparkles seemed to be theme as she also opted for a sparkly red and black dress with a black sparkly belt. Showing off her long legs with a short dress, she used a belt to pull it in at her waist, showing her stunning figure. Again, minimal hair and makeup finished this look.

The Worst

Kylie Minogue – Too much pleather? The oversized bow grabbed our attention for all the wrong reasons! The dress looked uncomfortable and awkward, not one of Kylie’s best looks.

Jessie J – Sticking to the sparkles and glitter theme Jessie wore a glittery jumpsuit. The see through panel down the sides made the outfit look a bit provocative and didn’t suit her at all. The pale purple lipstick didn’t work wonders for her skin tone either… Not a good look for Jessie.

The Boys

Admit it, half the reason you watch The Brits is to see the men dressed up, all suited and booted and looking handsome. Well this year didn’t disappoint, from One Direction to Pharrell Williams they all looked award show ready. One person that didn’t quite fit The Brits was Boy George, turning up with a bruise on his face?  We guess he’s always likes to experiment…

The Brits definitely did not disappoint fashion wise with some big red carpet yeses and no-no’s. We wonder what the rest of award season will bring!
